Greetings All,
You asked for feedback....so here is my take.

I am just finishing my first production site based on RN. Everything..and I do mean everything has gone smooth!! No install problems....No problems with the site at all! IT jams!

I have found something I don't like about it though....and I thought I would share for what it is worth.

The advertising system as a whole is excellent. A much better system than the old banner system BUT.....

I do not sell ads per position. I sell advertising on the site as a whole. The way I am reading it...and the way it seems to work...when I take in a new advertiser I have to add their banner to each and every "Position" on the site. This is very cumbersome. My front page with have 20ish ad spots on it before completion. That means I have to add each side banner for each client to each side position and each center banner to each center position to get them to rotate in each location.

It would be nice to have a way of setting center banners and side banners and then have it randomly pick a banner for each spot as it displays it.

So each client has 1 center banner and 1 side banner and the site randomly places them in the center blocks and the side blocks. (Does that make sence)

So there it is....RN TEAM YOU GUYS ROCK! Always have. I love RN and thank you all for your hard work. If this is the biggest problem with the site...LIFE IS GOOD!

kold,
I have more content than 98% of the sites out there. It is just a large site. My main one does about 1.6 million views a month.

If all you have is two banner sizes - side and center, you can easily just put them as two positions. And your banners code will need to call each position.

ads(position number);

ads(1) and ads(2) for example. I don't believe it matters how many times its called.

A position number doesn't have to physically mean anything. It can be called anywhere PHP code it used.

Oh Cool....That is a happy thing. In the old way I had to build a new block for each ad (easy just rename it). Hmmmm maybe this is not so bad after all.
