what would be the best way to install a theme?

I have not yet done the install of raven nuke but I am ready to go.... I think.

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to include a theme in the themes section before I do the fresh install. Or should I do the raven install then add the them?

When you add the theme also create a test user. Sign on as the test user and make the theme their default. Then see if it works. If all checks out then let other people know about it. If it needs work then only the test user will see that theme ... let me qualify that to say that other users could see it but it's unlikely that they will in a brief testing period. If the theme is totally fouled up you can always go in thru PHPmyadmin to the users table and change the default theme for the test user back to fisubice. If you have a test system that's a reasonable replica of your production one, that's even better but you are still advised to try the theme out with a test user.

I agree, much better to test your theme in local machine because some of the free themes out there are buggy...
When I install new theme I simply upload the zip file that contains my theme folder to themes directory and that's it..Smile
