I noticed that each pageview reload everything. It is like each page
is being loaded for the first time when navigating.

See what I mean here:

www.saints-n-sinners.com

My guess is a theme problem. Could it be the flash in the header or
the javascripts that run for scrolling blocks?

I just tried using IE7 and I am not seeing anything out of the ordinary. What exactly are you seeing and where?

I use firefox and haven't used IE in ages. Since you mentioned IE, I tried
and it works great. If you navigate the site using firefox, you will see what
I am referring to.

Just viewed it using FF 2.0.x and I still cannot see what you are seeing. The site loads fast for me, no flicker, nothing. Remember, I am coming at it as an anonymous user, so the default site theme. If you have another theme, maybe that is what you are seeing?

With Firefox 2.0.0.11

- Header (swf) flashes to white for less than a second, almost not noticable.
- Footer needs some time to calculate those marquees (scrolling blocks)

But not always, only when i reload the same page. Are you sure your cache settings are set correctly in Firefox?

And why do you use those marquees in your footer?

The marquees came with the theme. There is a block for each side of the
footer with the scrolling effect. I need to get rid of them.

As for the firefox...for me it appears that the header blinks as each page
reloads. Doesn't do it in IE for me.

In firefox, I see a brief white blink on the left side which is a flash area
of the header. Each pageview does this in FF and I have latest FF.
Other sites seem to work fine in FF but my site with this flash shows an
obvious reload of the header each time.

The flash script file is called: AC_RunActiveContent.js
