I am trying to install another RavenNuke site for someone and I am having a strange issue this time. On step one of the /INSTALLATION/installSQL.php it acts like it is loading the tables but when it is done thinking the Not Loaded is still there.
I have looked in the plesk admin and I do not see ERROR in the logs. I just do not even know where to begin. PHP is not my area. Flash, HTML sure thing but PHP |

Below is what I get when I hit the installSQL page. Everything seems to be ok. !!!
MySQL Database Connectivity Test Results
config.php file found!
Successfully connected to localhost as user XXXXXXXX and assigned password!
Database awol_nuke found!
Tables will be installed with a prefix of nuke.
User Tables will be installed with a prefix of nuke.
If this is not correct, edit your config.php file and correct the $prefix or the $user_prefix settings. |

hmmm
In plesk if I hit Mysql the awol_nuke is there. I click that and I get the username for the user. Next if I click webAdmin and then Databases it shows up as the only Database.
If anyone would check this out that is an admin here I would toss you $25. Just tell me the problem and how you fixed it or direct me as to how it needs to be fixed. This way I learn
Just post here or PM me that you will help and I will PM you the Plesk info. Thanks |

This sounds like your hosting provider is the problem.
PM me your hosting providers web address and I'll make some enquiries if there are any limits on their server. |

It is through ArtOfWarCentral.com
Its an account he had. This is the site that Raven pulled our users from along with the forums. So there was a PHP site there prior but not PHP Nuke.
Everything was deleted from the httpdocs folder and I removed the 2 databases that were there before creating the awol_nuke database for the current soon to be nuke site |

I have not come across the PMA Database Not OK.. error before.
It seems to indicate that the use of relational database tables is disabled on the server or that the database user does not have sufficient permssions but when I googled for the error, the error itself is only generated when using phpMyAdmin and you are using the installer that came with RavenNuke.
Anyone else help out with this one? |

Now, I created the table using phpMyAdmin I believe. Should I not have? Its amazing that I just not even a few weeks ago installed RavenNuke on my personal space as a test. Worked flawlessly. GRRR
I think this is what I did before. Create the database and enter all of the information into the config.php.
I figured it was a permissions thing simply because everything was working but it was not writing to the tables. |

So it works for you by using the installer? |

No. I am not sure what you even mean by "with the installer". I ran it but I do not recall it wanting to set up the tables.
I am at a loss. |

If you follow the instructions in the directory HowToInstall you'll see there are two files that you have to run from your browser, these are the installer files.
The first one is;
www.yoursite.com/INSTALLATION/installSQL.php
This will set up all your tables - just follow the on-screen prompts.
The second one is;
www.yoursite.com/INSTALLATION/setup.php
this will show you a screen to enter your basic configuration details.
Once both of these have been run from your browser you can then go to
www.yoursite.com/admin.php
to log-in and tweak any configuration options you need to |

The database was created in the PLESK admin.
The first one is;
www.yoursite.com/INSTALLATION/installSQL.php
This will set up all your tables - just follow the on-screen prompts.
This is where the core tables will not load. It thinks then the screen comes back to "Not Loaded". |

Ah, I see.
So the error you posted is the one you saw at the bottom of the screen when it came back?
If that is the case it would seem that the database user for that database does not have the correct permissions. You may have to delete the user and re-create it again but looking out for the series of check boxes where you enter the user permssions, you must select eh 'All Permissions' option.
Sorry I am not familiar with Plesk, I only used it the once and didn't like it so I cannot give you a step by step for that. |

So does anyone here have any ideas or willing to log in and take a look? The Provider is full of complete idiots and I am fed up with them. All they do is reword what I tell them in an answer email to me... GRRRR. |

As per my last post, it would seem that the user that is assigned to the database does not have sufficient permssions to CREATE the database.
Your provider is a reseller, that is to say, they rent web space and then rent that on to you so perhaps that might explain why they simply do not have the answer. |

Well you can create and assign permissions to the user within Plesk... |
