Hi all,
After doing a lot of research, it seems a good, non-IRC, FREE chat module for nuke 7.6 is hard to come by.
I've tried SPChat, but it's buggy as all get out (I ran it long ago on an old Nuke site years ago and really liked its simplicity, however...can't get it to work on my 7.6 though).
I tried 123FlashChat and php121, and neither is working out for me.
I tried ClearChat, which came CLOSE to working great, but the admin password won't take and it falls just short of working.
Any suggestions?
Very much appreciated, I'm just loving these Raven boards,
Oyjord. |

i'm willing to deal with the risks as i back up daily and really need chat to work on our site.
our users loved SPChat. I'm on 7.6 Raven. I'd love to get SP to work. Any suggestions as to the fixes required? the installer installs the DB fine and the base page works as does administrative goodies. just launching the app brings script errors.
nicpon, or anyone else; any thoughts?
many thanks!

As far I remember it was mostly if not all about field and table definitions within SPChat module. I have mine working fine. If you want I can zip it up and send it your way... There is few modifications(look), but with any diff tool you could reconcile those.
If you want to see how it looks and works with raven go here http://www.swim.pl/modules.php?name=SPChat |

Just my two cents ....
My users absolutely love FlashChat ... it's only $5 and it integrates with RavenNuke really well. You can also get a block for your nuke home page that displays who is in the chatroom. You can find it at tufat.com. The install for a cms is a tad tricky because you must make sure you've selected the cms install checkbox, and it's easy to miss. Also, when asked what version of nuke you are using you want to choose 7.8 (because the 7.6 choice only throws some kind of missing file error.) In anycase, I've bought 3 licenses over the past few years, so I'm a happy flashchat nuker. |
