I notice that there is something here, on the preview the submission, why does it not work though

Code:
/*****[BEGIN]******************************************

 [ Base:    GFX Code                           v1.0.0 ]
 ******************************************************/
    global $modGFXChk;
    echo security_code($modGFXChk[$module_name], 'stacked');
/*****[END]********************************************
 [ Base:    GFX Code                           v1.0.0 ]
 ******************************************************/

hmm

xGSTQ, are you sure that you are running RavenNuke 2.10.01 and that within rnconfig.php you have not turned the spam captcha off?

BTW, if you are logged in as admin, you will NEVER see the Spam Captcha. So, to make sure it is in fact working or not, you need to be logged out of everything.

Actually, it sounds to me like they are registering a user id and then a human being is also submitting the news articles. A captcha isn't going to help you there. I had this happen to me awhile back with comments. I have a feeling that the spammers are hiring kids to go do this stuff manually. At least they cannot blow in 100's at a time...

No worries m8. Not too many people know about the "admin thing". its actually a benefit to you as an admin so that you don't have to be bothered with it.

The only thing I can think of right now is that you should have the submit news behind registered users only and then you can track through the NukeSentinel Tracked IP module with the user's id to find their IP. Sorry, nothing automatic that I can think of.

I suppose some code could be added to Submit News to also send you their IP address. NukeSentinel has already gotten these values:

$nsnst_const['server_ip']
$nsnst_const['remote_ip']

And so you may just need to make the $nsnst_const variable global within the SubmitStory function and then take one or both of those onto the $notify_message variable before the email is sent...

Wink

Sorry, have to run otherwise I'd post some code to try but hopefully the above makes sense and can point you in the right direction.
