I wonder how I can disable the option for users to change the Theme in their Profile. Because i don´t find anything to turn that off in the Administration. Or when, where would it be ?

I removed all the ones I was not going to use. Saves backup space, time and they can't change the theme all in one.
You could also move them in a new DIR. On one of my sites I created a DIR called OLD and moved all the unused themes in there.

So a simple disabling of that is not possible ?

Yeah, just remove the theme folders you don't want under the themes directory and you are good to go. That might cause some pain for the users that already selected a theme, but you can run a SQL query to reset everyone back to the same theme if you need to. |

Well, I cannot read German, but I still do not understand. When you remove all but one theme, Your Account already does not display the Theme icon/link. And, if you are not wanting people to change their themes, that implies that you are wanting to have only one theme. So, why change code that you are going to have to remember to change each time you upgrade? I must be missing something here. |

Montego that thread shows what to comment out in Your Account navbar.php and there is also a note about CNB wich can handle theme changes through the settings there.
The reason why this method is used:
As admin you can still configure themes and change the default theme.
I do this often as admin and can work online with my other themes.
To not loose images e.g. in the forums block from another theme I need to have both themes available otherwise I need to change my forums block and my css completely. Quess there are some more reasons. its just a simple method to not allow theme changes and often used beneed to delete all other themes. |

Ah, interesting. Shows my ignorance of phpBB themes. Makes sense now. Thanks! |
