I'm completely new to this whole website thing and I really wanted a ravennuke theme. Problem is, I have no clue what I'm doing. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Do I need Linux to run ravennuke? Do I just download ravennuke from the website and boot it up? Can someone please give me a few pieces of information I'm completely overwhelmed.
Thanks, |

A RavenNuke theme? .. or do you mean a site running RavenNuke? The first implies you already have RavenNuke running.
You don't need Linux to run RavenNuke, but it is prefered. Whatever webhosting you decide to buy, you must have PHP and MySQL installed. Since you're posting in "RWH Pre Sale" you might know that RavenWebHosting has all that is required to run a RavenNuke site. |

Yea sorry I meant a website running RavenNuke. I downloaded MySQL and PHP but I could'nt extract certain files. Do I need a specific extractor like winzip or something? So would you recommend buying RavenWebhosting if I want a site running RavenNuke? |

Winzip or various extractors should work, depending on the files you downloaded.
Do you actually have a web host? Otherwise you would need to serve webpages on your own connection and that would be quite more trouble than it is worth. We're actually not supposed to link to other webhosts, but RavenWebHosting would be a good place to start. |

Ok so the plan would be to get Raven Hosting first. Load up the programs like PHP and MySQL on Windows and follow the steps for RavenNuke on the website for installation? |

jobo an alternative is xampp to start with the first website. You can later upload everything.

I switched with all my Nuke sites over to RavenNuke. Its the best you can get and the several themes in the pack are tested.
At:
http://www.ravennuke.com you ´ll find the preview of the new RavenNuke version. |

jobo, if you get web hosting, chances are they already have PHP and MySQL for you. You just upload the RavenNuke stuff and go.
As Susann said, if you would like to try this out at home without getting a webhost, you can play around with XAMPP, which will allow you to run a server on your PC for testing/experimentation/learning purposes. |
