I know Raven knows how to do this and others do as well... but how do I run a Python sc ript on my site to generate a sitemap
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/docs/en/sitemap-generator.html
(or for some other reason Python might be needed)?
Basically how do I run a
Code:

python sitemap_gen.py --config=<path/config.xml>

command?
Can a PhP sc ript be used to run this? Or should I use a DOS window? Or Telnet?
Thanks for helping the learning curve.

Hi southern!

If you're using Nuke, why not just use the Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! included in nukeSEO?

On the Google Documentation page it says this:

Now you’re ready to get started. Here’s an overview of what you’ll need to do.

1. Download the Sitemap Generator program files. Extract the files to a local directory.
2. Create a configuration file for your site using the provided example_config.xml file as a template. Modify this file as needed for your site and save it.
3. Upload the necessary files to your web server.
4. Run sitemap_gen.py.

You should now be able to execute
http://www.your_domain.com/siteMapFolder/sitemap_gen.py

Hi kguske Smile Because a) I didn't know there was a sitemap with NukeSEO until you told me and b) I got curious about Python in general and Python generated sitemaps in particular. The old learning curve. Thanks for the link, this will hold me for a while while I look into it all. I prefer to use what comes with RavenNuke so in the end I'll probably use the NukeSEO sitemap. Thanks Smile

Thanks, Raven, I did read that manual Laughing but just got a little confused by the command python... I guess this will be good for running any Python sc ript.
