Administrative Preferences

Since I wanna be sure about the features and settings in my admin panel I'll ask you people. There are many settings I'm unsure about its usage.

Administration Menu -> Preferences

1. Site Logo
Where does it appear and what is the current site logo? There is already something written in this line > "logo.gif"

2. Activate Ultramode
Yes or No? What is this?

3. Allow Anonymous to post
Are anonymous users, users which are not registered on the site?

4. Site Language
When I change the language to another one does all the words change to the chosen language? Because I remember I chose french once just to test this and everything was still in english.

5. Multilingual Features
Is his the "Languages" box on the left side?

6. Activate Banners
What banners? Advertising banners? Or does this allow me to put own banners? What is this option for?

7. HTTP Referer
What is this again? I've heard it before but I'm unsure about it.

8. Broadcast Messages
What's this and where can I find it? Example.

9. Headlines Reader
What's this and where an I find it? Example.
