To Money: I would rely on the answers of higher, corporate/industry standard virus checkers than that of new, false reading minors.
But hey, whatever ZX can get right?
Desperate bastards. |

So you will know Fix-it Utilities by Ontrack was purchased last year by V-Com and was recently changed to System Suite with Trend Micro Anti-Virus. I have mine setup to Auto Update which was just done today and I scanned the package and it does not show a virus, as I knew it wouldn't.
I didn't hesitate a second as soon as I saw Sentinel released installing it on my sites as I do with anything released by NukeScripts that I can use.
I have been using PHPNuke for close to two years now and have always used the NSN Add-ons to enhance it. Yes, I was around when Paul backed FB over his own staff, defending FB when he stole NSN's code, Mikem throwing a tantrum and shutting down Nukemods, etc.
In my opinion Paul and some of the NukeCops staff are feeling very threatened right now. He knows like I do, that the team of Bob Marion, Chatserv and Raven coming together on a project is a cataclysmic event for the PHPNuke Community that they were left out on.
Alway when FB released PHPNuke to the community like this (his release is what hits the fan and the smiley face is the community) it has been these three that have been there to re-code, fix and secure it for all of us.
I know if this team stays together it can only mean great things for this community.
Thanks to you guys for everything that you do. |

No point, ZX will probably say something sentimental to you, in which none of us would understand. |

And good points Redville. Something that ZX can't, and won't, understand. |

A very good AV indeed, check out all the great features.... http://us.mcafee.com/root/package.asp?pkgid=144&cid=10089 For $70 is it well worth it. When I first brought it I thought it was too much but after I installed it and seen all the features and security it offers I was more than pleased. That is why I dont rely on what other AV products say, if McAfee says the files are good .. they are good!! |

There is so many posts going around about this, I dont know where I should post myself. Anyways, here it goes . . .
Im very new to PHP-Nuke and the community. I've wandered from PHPNuke.org, to NukeCops and now to Raven's and Chatserv's sites. I am increasingly impressed with Raven, Bob and Chatserv's professionalizm, humility and level thinking. I am increasingly disappointed and downright offended by NukeCops arrogant, powerhungry rumor-mongoring.
I know that I'm just a drop in the bucket, but after reading all the recent post about Sentiel over at NukeCops, I've decided to never go back. It's just not worth it. I dont want to give him one more page view to bolster his attitude and pride. NukeCops throws their weight around, trying to act like they ARE the only Nuke community and what they say goes. I've been meaning to be more active over at the PHPNuke.org boards, to help the newbies. I'll be doing my best to point them to the good, fair and knowledgeable help of this and other sites - not NukeCops. My own private NC Boycott.
Secondly, a question/suggestion about Sentinel... Is there any way for PC Killer to be distributed seperately, as a Sentinel plug-in? This way you can distribute a d*** good product that no one (no matter how obsessive) can find fault with and let people decide if they want the extra punch of PC Killer. They can download it seperatly, knowing all the issues involved in implementing it.
Just my 2-cents.
Thanks for your guy's amazing work and see ya around

money,
Put the doobie down. There is no trojan. KAV falsely reports it. There is nothing malicious. There is no hard drive crash. That is your ridiculous interpretation. "Whether you want to accept this labeling for your post is not important". |

McAfee is used by IBM. I am forced to use it every Monday when I boot up my machine at work.
If IBM uses it, thats telling you something there |

Yes, I know that. I keep McAfee running in the background because I use outlook express to check my mail. I need McAfee to stop anything that contain a virus and since outlook express can easily transfer a virus I take the safety approach (keep McAfee running). McAfee Internet Security is awesome when it come to browsing the internet (something I do daily). One never know if they're visiting a website that pass a virus to your computer, there are so many warez sites out there and those darn porno sites (giggling). I need the extra internet security. |

Foxyfemfem,
I just want to publicly thank you for your professionalism and fairness in your posts. I'll admit I was not too happy when you hastily posted the one about your new user, but not only did you follow through when Burnwave challenged you, you also admitted that it had been a mistake. Further, you didn't follow the other knee-jerk reactionists concerning the purported virus. You never took sides, you were deliberate and fair, and you have shown far more professionalism than 2 others who will remain nameless. Thank you. |

I agree. Foxyfemfem was a bit impulsive at first, but she did die down a bit on the 'tude, and worked it out with no problems.
Nor did Foxy hastily posted the problems on NukeCops front page. She had the decency to post a discussion about it before jumping to extreme conclusions. |

Not if you plan to use it on nukecops, that size would be just about right! |

@Raven
You are welcome. I do not like to do wrong by anyone and the very moment I feel I did wrong by someone I will apologize. I consider myself to be a leader not a follower therefore, I refuse to take sides.
@burnwave
You gave me a hard time seriously, at first I truely believe you thought I was making the entire thing up about someone sending me that email, one of the reason I PMed the email to you. Whenever I post something it is strictly the truth. Someone sent me the email and at that point I seriously thought it was because of sentinal, knowing nothing like that has ever happen to anyone on my website and my site has been up and running since 1999. What else could I think? Anyway, that's water under the bridge. I am using 1.1 and if I receive another email, you all should know by now, I'm going to panic |

So posting that I was a liar was strictly the truth, eh, and that the truth hurt me? No harm done, Foxy, so don't stress about it.
I never said that it was truly a made up email. I merely pointed out the fact that it was ironic, that the first person who experienced this 'problem' was a nukecops staffer, and that the email could have just well been forged during the times of hard. Just like you, and the rest of us, I am also allowed to assume things as well (which I tried to make it clear that I was assuming it, and not actually saying what I believed was true).
And of course, I am going to give anyone a hard time who veered off in the direction that you went in that topic I'm not THAT bad of a guy, am I? I only like dealing with the truth here Something that doesn't run in ZX's blood. |
