OK, but has your host changed anything. Upgraded PHP, mySQL, or introduced any security enhancements?
I think the clue is in the error message above, but I can't say anymore than that.
What theme are you currently using? |

If they haven't told you then you will need to ask. |

Depending on your host dbhost may be different, but if you are using cPanel then it is usually localhost. Besides that if it wasn't that then it wouldn't be able to connect to your database at all.
The prefix and user_prefix are OK to leave as shown, this shouldn't cause any problems. |

It looks like the upload type was set to 'auto'.
i reuploaded the RWS_WhoIsWhere index file but it hasn't fixed anything
it just displays properly now instead of on the single line.
STILL no visitors |

If that is the case, then I would recommend uploading your files again in binary, just to be safe. |

Uploading what file?!
I have a full functioning website with users signed up etc. - i don't want to ruin anything!
Are there any particular files I can just replace to see if it works then?
I can't just reupload everything all my changes will be stuffed! |

Pan,
According to your error log you have several problems.
Read http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/faq-2-.html#17 for the modify header error. A simple search of the FAQ would have shown you that.
Then, your theme looks to be missing some files.
Lastly you have syntax errors.
You also comment you don't know anything about the server. Here again you need to learn about some things.
Before you try to isolate operational errors you need to have a clean install. Once you clean up your headers error your block may start working. But you won't know until you try.
The staff here have been affording you much attention for several issues. I would recommend that you purchase the book Building Websites With PHP-Nuke asap. While we try to help as much as we can, there is a certain expectation that the webmaster has some overall knowledge of the php language and phpnuke/ravennuke(tm). There are resources on this site to help users with both. If you are needing to continue asking this many questions then you might consider posting in the For Hire section to pay someone to help you get your site set up.
You also need to re-ftp ALL of your folders/files in binary. That is critical to a correct install. Also, do not use notepad nor wordpad to edit your files. They suck and will screw up your files most of the time. |

I use programmers notepad 2 to edit files
The website was working fine when i uploaded everything so it has to have something to do with a change made thus far.
I probably wouldn't have to ask so many questions if most of the responses weren't so brief.
The issues coming up regarding the theme are fixed - that theme isn't being used and there was a typo in the php file which i have since fixed (i have already said that in an earlier post)
I will now look at fixing the header problem - i didn't search for that because it had nothing to do with my first enquiry...
..believe me i have searched these forums non stop for the last 2 days before posting. |

Try Textpad or at the least be sure to ALWAYS transfer your files using binary. That is positively one of your problems. The briefness can be accounted for in at least two reasons. As I said above there is a certain expectation. Also, being as how we are all human, we tend to get frustrated just as you do. Knowing that we have so many posts, PM's, email, Im's, etc. that vie for our time and attention, not to mention Donations or the lack thereof, we are just spread too thin to give a dissertation on every issue. We expect to guide but not to necessarily solve especially when the questions go on and on. I'm just keeping it real. |

Well people have said the same thing over and over and without a complete solution and it hasn't worked and I've said i've tried it all.
You just spent all that time writing a bigger paragraph about answering the question than u did for actually answering.
Why all of a sudden would it stop working?
Which are the main files i should look at overwriting in binary which may fix it without screwing up the entire website and bringing it all back to square 1? |

Also, you need to stop expecting, almost demanding at times, that you get a reply. Extending what I said above, we have many users needing help. We can't always just stay with one user as much as we might like to. You need to understand and accept that. |

There's a perfect example of how to get ignored here and on most any other forum. I'd be very careful if I were you. I, as well as others, are trying to be patient with you but smarta** remarks will gain you nothing but disrespect.
FTP all of your local files/folders in binary. There is no magic formula. Things don't just stop working without a reason. Nine times out of ten if something was working and then stops it's because you added a file, changed a file, or your host made a change to your operating environment. It is imperative that you have a local setup to test your changes. And you must backup every file you change. Then, test just a few changes at a time so you have much better control over your changes. |

That's totally not true!
We have been supplying all kinds of answers and suggestions based on years of knowledge and expertise in a very timely manner. What you really mean is that you haven't been able to figure it out in spite of our responses. There's a big difference.
My suggestion to you, assuming you haven't kept good backups, is to start from scratch and get a fresh install that works. Then, one by one, apply you updates and test them one by one. Once it works then ftp them to your production server. |

Well im from australia so a 'day' to you has been overnight for me sometimes.
I am going through everything one by one comparing my files with a fresh download of ravennuke.
I have tried the header fix and the only one that worked was getting the 500 error
adding ini_set("output_buffering",1); killed the entire website so im not sure if i was putting it in the wrong place or not.. i did it on the first line under the credits like it said |

If you are running PHP as CGI then you can't add the php directive to your .htaccess. That will always cause a 500 error. A search on this site will tell you that and will explain that you need to, instead, create a php.ini file and place the directive in there. Your host can tell you if php is loaded as an apache module or as CGI. Here again, you need to do some research. |

Just little changes can go a long way to big booboos. Always take notes when making changes to code. I keep a stack of index cards (you'd think I was living in the 20th century.)
Did you do anything to the block file? /blocks/block-yourscrewyblock.php
Perhaps comparing that to a RN original?? |

There is nothing wrong in the block file - i have compared everything to a fresh install of raven
SELECT *
FROM `nuke_session`
LIMIT 0 , 30
is that what nuke_session is meant to have in it?
Susann - how do I just clear it out like discussed in the thread you posted?
I have already tried a repair on the table and it didnt work |

You can do this directly in your database its called empty table or truncate table but do not delete table. Sorry my database is in German language but I ´m sure you need to click on empty table nuke_session.
If this doesn´t help your issue is different than mine was and you need to look for an other solution. |
