How do I change the URL on the emails sent to users about new private messages?

Because it is incorrect. I changed my domain name recently and that in turn messed up some of my database files. One of them being the pm's. I updated the database to RN2.3 but it omits part of the URL in the private messages and people began complaining. I wouldn't do it just to confuse people. i merely want to make it easier for people to get to there private messages.

I'm not really understanding the how's and why's of this, but you change the site URL in ACP->Preferences and the forums domain name in the ACP->Forums->Configuration

Ok. I don't know how it happened. But when you receive a private message, normally it sends you an email. Correct? Well, the email has a URL to your private message inbox. Also correct. Well the URL in the email now omits (doesn't add) a crucial part that links to our website. Is there a way I can add this part to the URL?

The first part of the URL is suppose to be www.my website01/forums/.....

but what the email sends is www.my website01/...... when it needs to add the forums/ part.

Edit:::: Problem solved. It was the domain problem.
