cant sign guestbook

This is what i get when i try to send the entry Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PRIVATE, expecting ']' in /public_html/Gbook-piks/addtogb.php on line 26

i am able to see the index.php but i cannot add a entry to the guesbook

please help? Question

Have you edited that file? Seems like a basic syntax error to me due to incorrectly editing the file.

ALl i did is follow the instructions on the install.html

and uploaded to my server, ICHMOD the 2 directory files and the other 2 php files...thats all.....

another thing i noticed when i run my sysch.php the buffering is set to none on the server, do you think that mt be the problem of my issue

Output buffering is required. Also, please post your addtogb.php file. Did you transfer your files using BINARY? You must ftp all files using BINARY.

when you say post my addtogb.php what do you mean?

meaning uploaded to my server..

ABout the transefering i did transfer all my files binary

Have you tried resending the file addtogb.php to your server?

What version of KISGB are you using?

I need to see what your addtogb.php file looks like. Please post a text link where I can see it. In other words, make a copy of addtogb.php on your server and rename the copy to addtogb.txt. Then tell me the uri to your file. So, if your uri is http://www.domain.tld/, then place the addtogb.txt file in http://www.domain.tld/Gbook-piks/ so that when you access http://www.domain.tld/Gbook-piks/addtogb.txt you will see the addtogb code.

my hosting admin turn my output buffering to 4096 now i am able to get into the admin page....

yes i have try to resend my addtogb.php 2 times...gives that same error

i also have strated from scratch twice by deleting all the files an uploading them to my server. All my CHMOD are correct.
