MySQL Error # 4 = Specified key was too long; max key length

MySQL Error # 4 = Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes

all other tables run, but step 1, it gives that error.

I just did a fresh install with altest dist., and i get this when trying to load tables.

Any ideas?

jjmusicpro, are you sure that you downloaded 2.30.00? As far as I can recall, it WAS fixed already in that release.

i just downloaded 2.1 because i didnt see 2.3

also for some reason, i downloed some black/red themed thems and non themes want to work with ravennuke other then the ones that are stock installed...

why is that?

everything just comes up blank....

There is no point in talking about that old of a release. 2.30.00 may be down a few downloads, but definitely start with that release please.

Would you please explain what you mean again? Thanks. However, most likely it is related to OLD themes that are using the very old $dbi (the old sql layer) rather than $db. There are several threads and at least one Sticky on this particular issue and how to correct.
