I would like to up date from 2.2 to 2.3.....I have read the instructions but they confuse me a bit. Once I get everything up loaded is it supposed ot ask me if this an upgrade or fresh install?...

The upgrade instructions are strait forward. Click on the Upgrading section under installation.

I ahve actually done that but I seem to get 0's when trying to install the tables...everything goes well until then. When you cllick on install tables then all they do is go to 0 like they cannot find them

I hope you are not trying to run the installer!!
You need to run the rndb_upgrade.php file like it says in the instructions.

yes I have. so wht I did was make a new data base etc. uploaded 2.3. Then I went to install fresh 2.3 everything went great until I got to the database tables.Everytime I went to click on that table button everything says 0. Same with Sentinal. I posted the messages I got in the other forum thread. Its like its not seeing the tables

I am getting a little confused now.
When you are creating new tables from the start by running the file INSTALLATION/installSQL.php if the script is not able to connect to the database you should see an error message.

If you do not get an error message but are unable to install the tables then it could be that the 'user' you have for that database does not have CREATE permissions, although I would still think you should have some error message.

Please PM me your hosting control panel log-in and ftp log-in so I can take a look as quick as I can. Also the address where your installation is.

From my experience when there actually IS an error message, I find that it is not easy to find the message as it is rather inconspicuously located at the very bottom of the sql install page. Just a thought from an "older" set of eyes. Cool
