I haven't a clue why this is happening. Running 2.30.01

I get this in FF3 but not in IE7. It posts fine in IE.

Even in your main Forums page, I'm seeing this in your source code
Code:

<!-- $Log: overall_header.tpl,v $
<!-- Revision 1.2  2003/07/18 15:11:03  zx
<!-- Removed additional HTML, HEAD, and BODY tag sections
<!-- -->

It looks like somewhere that comments aren't being properly closed. IE seems to ignore them but Firefox displays them.

If its a new install then i would recommend re-uploading the forums module. Are you sure you havent tried to make any modifications to your forum?

Are you getting this in different themes or just your default theme?

And .... did you upgrade from a previous RN? And if so, did you run the rndb_upgrade.php script?

Cheers

It was my default theme and yes I upgraded from 2.20.10 and yes I did run rndb_upgrade.php

Last year I was using IE almost all the time but I got hooked on FF. This year is the first I noticed it. All my visitors did not notice it either as the forum is not used much. The site is only 2 years old and not used in the winter months.

A friend found some open tags in a tpl file and some bad js and I think it is fixed now.

Run 2.3.01 exclusively on all my production/client domains including my support site www.ufaq.org .. learned a LOT of good stuff here and frankly saved my butt a year or so ago when my site running 6.5 was hacked quite maliciously. Thought I was protected with the "Protector" application (no longer supported) ... NOT !! they found the way in. No problem since runnnig RN now. Smile

Yea, if you're still running Protector, you're clearly out-of-date Smile

"Protector" has been history for about a year now, ever since I started posting here and installed NS.

Looks to me like Sentinel is their security app of choice, many references to "Raven". Smile

Cheers
