I went into the admin prefrences and hit save, then lost all of my prefrences. They all zeroed out. Now I can no longer make adjustments via the gui, I have to go in manually to myphp to make changes.
Any ideas how to get this back up? |

Haven't used 7.9 because of the security changes, but did anything change? It sounds like there is a discrepancy between the table layout in the database and what the software is expecting. |

I have never seen this happen before, so I have the same question as kguske: what have you changed?
BTW, is this a brand new installation? If so, is this your first attempt at accessing the Preferences? And, this is Preferences rather than Forums --> Configuration right? |

The installation is fairly new but I have changed the preferences before, and yes the is preferences not Forum --> Configuration.
What have I changed? a lot, so its had for me to determine exactly what it is.
My best guess is it has something to do with the WS Subscription Module (v3).
It had a mod that changed some of the your account info that I still cant get to work and maybe the two are tied, but thats just a wild guess...
Thanks for the help, let me know if you guys think of anything |

Make sure you config.php file is correct. I had that happen on a test site when I migrated the site from my computer to my server. I can't remember what was wrong with the config file though. |

The best I can remember, either I had an error in my config file or I had to delete cookies. I wish I could remember but it was a while ago when I had that problem. I may have had to reload my database to fix it. Do you have a database back up you can reload? |

Honestly, the best I can remember is it was the prefix in my config file was wrong. I had "nuke" as my prefix in my db but I had something else in my config. I changed it to "nuke" in my config and it worked. Your problem may be different. Sorry I couldn't help. |

No problem Nuken. Thanks for trying. I have the preferences saved in a sql file that I just uploaded. Just as long as I dont edit it through nuke, its fine. |
