Problem with sigs and news

Have 2 problems.

First problem is identical on 2 sites.

When members put the BBcode link in their signatures from photobucket images all that shows is the code, no image, and some get nothing, no code no pic.

Second problem only manifests itself on one of the sites.

When you set news articles to 5 on the frontpage, everytime you add a new article there it just follows on so you get a long page with more and more articles added to it instead of 5. Not added too many articles incase it goes on indefinately.

Are your settings both set to 5 ?
I don`t see such a problem at my site.

For the signature issue I would use the search first because there are many results.

Done a search of this site and there's nothing that is similar to my images not showing in sig problem. The code from photobucket is entered correctly with no spaces in members signatures yet only the bbcode is showing and no image.

Also if they use html it shows code only as well.

So still got both problems to solve if anyone can help please?

For the sig issue, click Disable HTML in this post check box when you post and see if the bbcode sig works.

Nevermind. I have the same issue with my site. The disable html does nothing.

And if you disallow html AND BBcode you still get the bbcode link in the sig but no pics Rolling Eyes

Post your code so I can try it again. I don´t have a own photobucket account.

Thanks for that. I'll have a lot of happy old fogies on my forum tomorrow (me included) LOL

Now just need to sort out the problem on the other site of the news articles.

Everythings set to 5 on the main page but they just go on and on and on and won't drop off the page.

cornishpixie I have not seen this behavior. Is this a new installation of RavenNuke or ?
Check the error logfile in rnlogs also.

If you have the standard RN News module without modifications, I would back it up and reinstall the news module fresh.

It's an upgrade from the previous version.

Will check the rnlogs and then do a backup of the news module and reupload new one again.
