Only Registered User Can View Image In Forum

This is very odd and only in one domain.

I have the html tags "a,href" added to the list of allowed html tags.

I have a forum post, example:

<a href="http:mydomain.com/uploads/image/large_image.jpg">[IMG]uploads/image/small_image.jpg[/IMG]</a>

This does work but ONLY a registered user can perform the action, an anonymous user cannot and only sees the code AND the thumbnail image.

A reg'd user can click the small image and then the large image appears as intended.

Anomaly: This works for anon users on another site and is NOT theme related (proven). I've done my best to dupe the preferences on the working domain.

Any ideas?

Try this instead:

<a href="http:mydomain.com/uploads/image/large_image.jpg">[IMG]http:mydomain.com/uploads/image/small_image.jpg[/IMG]</a>

also, do you have a mod installed the keeps anonymous users from seeing links in the forums?

I fail to see a difference in what you posted as opposed to what I posted link-wise. No, do not have any such mod installed.

What I did forget in my post is the http:// .. slashes. In that case I'll try it without.

Doesn't work at all without the slashes. No idea at the moment other than maybe re-uploading the forum files which I don't think will do it. Strange, it's only this ONE domain exhibiting that behavior and not theme related, doesn't work in RavenIce, fisubice or a custom theme.

One thing I didn't check was the .htaccess ...

i should have put the http:// slashes in. I was testing it on a test site and it worked for anonymous without a problem when I used the

FIXED - A real headscratcher as well.

There was no Anonymous user created, so I created the Anon user using the same as always prefs. Now it works ... go figure, I have no idea why this fixed it or caused it to break.
