Ran into this recently, wondered if anyone else has experienced.. Was doing some research on google regarding textarea, and on one search the top result read "this site may harm your computer". I didn't click on it our anything, and then all the sudden my antivirus informed me it had blocked a trojan...?

It seemed to target mcafee and firefox, if you clicked for more info in mcafee it attempted to launch the script again.... Sad

always assumed I was fairly safe on google, just though y'all should be aware Rolling Eyes

Getting a virus directly from a search results page would be news to me? However getting one from a page visited via the results page is entirely possible. Could be your AV has link checking capabilities and was warning you of bad links?

This is not true. When u type something on google search u never get virus results but maybe before u were navigating on some other pages.

There is a very bad dengerous activeX control can infect you and spam you without any solutions, so becareful people. I use one of the best AVG noawadays and even like that it lies on some files. In my opinion, I should say All AV are lying and give you warning all the time so u think they are good but they are not. I hate Norton=Mcafee, Avast, and much more of the same.

I love NOD32 and My favorite is Kaspersky.

I got this message right away when I wanted to edit my post here. Is there a way to bypass that so u dont get this error.
