Things just don't happen - usually YOU cause them ROTFL Now that that's out of the way, what has changed? You've been at this long enough to know that something must have changed. A fix? A mod? Help us to help you. And feel better! Get some sleep!

Possibly. Check your sever error log. Also just for grins and giggles, do a repair on all the tables via phpMyAdmin. Delete cookies, refresh the cache. Do a moon dance. Offer a blood sacrifice. Have Deseroka do an Indian dance. You never know.

seeing that his problem was that the server changed time i went to look at another site and yes.. they did change the server time and date. it was incorrect which i pointed out to the server owners a few days ago. They went and changed it tonight it seems. I assume that people on the site that is effected by this will have to wait until time passes? do you have any idea how long that might be now that they just set the server to the correct date tonight?

That could be something to do with the cookie setup, check this out:

http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.setcookie.php

If you read down in the comments there are a few threads about the time being different and not setting a cookie or the browser thinking it is the past/future

I would also try clearing all cookies and attempting again. That may do the trick!

A change in the server's time will cause this mainly because cookies will have a different time but that is not the only problem, session tables will not match either until the time has been corrected at the server.

So would emptying _session, _bbsessions and deleting cookies do the trick?

Try renaming the cookie through Forum Admin Configuration.

Done all the above. Time is way off on the posts for my forum. Any suggestions or ideas? I posted something this morning and it is showing that I posted it at 10pm tonight which isn't even here as yet. Strange.

I have spent the last 16 hours solid, getting my PC back on line after an HP update pack hosed it all up! I tell you this so that you'll understand that I wasn't online at all until about 1/2 hour ago so I was unaware of the server timing problem. If you will let me know what posts are out of order, I will reorder them.
