Hi,

i'm testing RN on my server and I found that if I suspend users from site, they are still able to send private messages and post/reply in forums, even though they are not logged in site.

Did I do something wrong with installation RN or is this normal, so you also have to suspend / ban users from forum admin panel?

Regards,
Lucifix

How did you suspend them from the site?

It should be done through Edit Users in the Admin Panel.

I suspend them from admin panel in RN and from AP in forum. I thought that if I suspend them only from RN panel they will be banned from forum too.

Not if your forums are open to all visitors, make sure your forum permissions are set to 'registered users'.

That is why I'm wondering, because only registered users can reply or open topic and suspend user from RN admin panel (not from Forums AP!) can do that. Is this normal or something wrong with my installations of RN?

Are you logged in as an admin when testing to see if a user is suspended?

It might be that the cookie hasn't expired...

This is only reproducible when logged in as an admin so this is not a major problem. I would hesitate to even call it a minor problem Smile

I also found this happened to me, from admin panel I clicked on the oprtion to suspend and was shocked when they posted on the forum Embarassed

I just deactivate members now to be on the safe side.

This problem has been corrected and will be in the 2.40.01 release.
