The official website of SimBin and RaceRoom for their race simulation games.
It took almost a year to built this with some help of colleagues.
What do you think of it? |

W3C shows 200+ validation errors on the homepage so I'm assuming it's still a work in progress.

Must be a bug in W3C as it is 100% valid XHTML.
The header is text/html because less skilled people also edit pages and when you provide it as application/xhtml+xml it will throw errors as a result of that.
You still see errors when using http://www.raceroom.net/index.xhtml ? |

Yes, I still see some errors there;
No character encoding found - W3C falls back to utf-8
FORM attribute not allowed where it is - I don't see why though as it's within span tags
Some missing image alt's - not a big deal
div id "overlay" used twice which causes an error
Nice site though!! |

Most of the errors shown are within the javascript code. Would CDATA enclosure help eliminate all of those?
With regards to the FORM error, FORM is a block type tag so it cannot be embedded inside the in-line tag of SPAN. Simply change that SPAN to DIV tags instead and that part will validate.
I agree on the ALT's, just simply add an alt="" on each of the offending IMG tags and those will go away.
And, yes, fix the duplicate ID. |
