The forums are the exact same, except for some phpBB mods that are included in the RN distro ready-to-go. Therefore, your forums should come straight over without a hitch. The stock modules do not have any significant database changes to them, so things like your news, downloads, etc should all come over cleanly. I believe there are very good import scripts provided that should do the job. Realistically, the only question marks would be whatever you have that was added on and not a part of default Nuke.

According to that WIKI, the 'downgrade' script from above Nuke 7.6 (this RN actual core) is untested against 7.9 and above (although it does say 'as of this writing', which I would assume was awhile ago).
It's really not that difficult to compare databases by hand, in fact, you can get a good quick and dirty education on databases by doing it. You can tell phpMyAdmin to export ONLY the structures, print them out, and then using an old fashioned pencil, dig in and compare. If there's anything different that you're unsure of, you can post it here.
I used to keep a web-ready copy of every Nuke release, but stopped doing that, oh.. like around 7.6

I believe some people have had success with the conversion script and I am sure there have been discussions about this in the past.
There are some database comparison scripts in the RN distro, but packages such mysqldiff are quite good also. |

Guardian2003 here was excellent at converting me over from the dreaded php nuke to the heavenly RN nuke software, you will never regret your choice!

My site is php-nuke8.0 with phpBB3toNuke. Is it possible to convert to Ravennuke? I worry about phpbb3tonuke to work with Raven. |
