What part of my previous post didn't you understand ? I KNOW IT IS AN INTERACTION BETWEEN THE 2 MODS. But that doesn't mean that Sentinel has bad code nor the other mod has bad code. It just means that they don't play nice with one another. It could be something as simple as a variable naming clash. Give us some time to look at the code. |

By the way the comments title needs to be better filtered on that module. I'd appreciate it if you could report that to its author. |

will do, and will also work on the url string.
the url string was what made Sentinel Stop the Older version of the mod from working. I was able to fix it in the older mod.
I am just curious as what is making Sentinel stop the main module page from
showing what the catorgories and files are.
I do know it is calling all that info from the main Streaming Mod File, I just
dont know what is preventing it from being displayed.
Thanks to you both for the help so far |

No, not that i see, it uses tons of
Opentable()
Closetable();
here is the file that i think is where the catorgory listing is being called from
http://theshizatnetwork.us/pdb.zip
i think that file might be where the problems are coming from. |

Actually I've been playing with it you can use the path in the description
modules/streaming/mp3/JAILBREAK.MP3
That takes care of one issue. I'm not having the other troubles you speak of at all but I've a beta version of Sentinel installed so maybe I'm missing something because of that. I'll try installing the release version later and see if I can duplicate your page display issue. |

While Sentinel being active may cause the interaction to halt the mod running, just as Sentinel caused Your Account to halt functionality, there is the question of getting into the code and finding where it interacts. That could take an hour or it could take a month and since we are pouring over Sentinel 2.0.0 with Raven's new addition to test and a couple of late requests to get in we are all tied up at the moment.
Anyone reading is welcome to help to find the interaction and help us help you. As it stands there are 4 of us and millions of you, just a loose term there, so millions of eyes are better then just 8 tired eyes
We will help as soon as we are able, just remember that right now 2.0.0 is top priority. Be pataint with us so we can ensure 2.0.0 is not a PHP-Nuke flop version. |

Thanks for the FriendFinder fix! I love ya all.
I'm not sure if this is related, but... is there a fix for Coppermine related to that YA / Sentinel fix? Seems that users can't create their own galleries anymore. It feels like the same issue as the one with FF user edit, although I'm not positive of that. IOW, it was working and now it isn't and the only change I made was to the YA module as per Sentinel docs. |

BobMarion,
I do appreciate all the help done so far.
Your right, Sentinel 2.0.0 is top priority, and I am anxious for that as well.
Maybe that version wont cause the problem I am facing, as
sixonetonoffun had said they are not seeing the problem I am describing |

About the gallery issue and missing user galleries function, I'm still not sure if this is an issue with anyone but moi.
Besides, my users need to learn "less than 100K!!" So for the moment, they are going on a gallery holiday.

This reply is for sixonetonoffun
You said you arent recieving the problems i am
speaking of.
Just want to make sure you are testing it with the most
current version of the streaming mod. The 3.0 version.
Cause with the older version, it didnt have the catorgories,
rating, comments options.... and worked fine for me
once i fixed the URL string problem.
The newest version is what is refusing to show |

Please post the download url for the full module blacksnday, by the way the file you posted lacks a lot where security is concerned. |

Ok downloaded and installed the module, i have only added a test category to it but have kept the ones that come as samples, in the index of the module i get a search option along with several tables that list things like:
REAL PLAYER FILES (1)
--image here--
REAL PLAYER FILES SAMPLES
MP3 (1)
--image here--
MP3 FILES SAMPLES
MEDIA PLAYER FILES (1)
--image here--
MEDIA PLAYER FILES SAMPLES
QUICK TIME FILES (1)
--image here--
QUICK TIME SAMPLE
FLASH FILE (1)
--image here--
FLASH SAMPLE
Is this what you don't see? else what should i look for? |

Ok, judging from that image and by the fact that it seems to be working as intended on a Sentinel protected website i'd say this is being caused by something else, so let's do the following, the best i can offer is to check the site files myself, if that is ok with you pm me the ftp and url data. |

Oddly enough the change that seemed to make a difference was changing in the module's index.php file:
Code:include_once('pdb.php');
|
to:
Code:include_once("pdb.php");
|
Plus the modules.php file was missing a fix that gets rid of the file cannot be found error message. |

well not really.
I Kept all the New Version Files and SQL data,
But replaced the new Index File, and put in the Old Mod's Version Index file.
It worked with the old version, but the old version doesnt have the new version options.
For me.........something is conflicting with the New Streaming Mods index file, but not with the old one.
And ya even with the
Code:
include_once("pdb.php");
that still didnt get the new index file to work |
