If testing goes well this next week I will be releasing my Db backup module. I have already integrated it into my test site and thus far have had good results while testing the various features. The critical testing will be this week as I check the database backup against the host backup.

It will run in concert with Big Dump, the only utility that I know of that can handle large SQL file uploads without creating corruption. Big Dump will not be, or should never be, a mod for RN integration due to the simple reason that it will be useless putting it there, it's functionality would be totally lost. It should be in a folder along with your .sql.gz backup file on your desktop to use when needed to get your website back online quickly.

The backup mod will contain one folder with all supporting files housed inside.

This is a high quality mod for all RavenNuke(tm) users. It is loaded with all of the features you will see on a host server. Setup a Crontab and the auto backup feature will kick in each time the shell command runs.

Sorry, but this mod will only work on Apache/Linux operating systems.

This is a collaborative effort between Dave Walker and myself. Dave did the lion share of the work while I concentrated on RN integration, simplification of use and tweaks to some of the code. I do applaud Dave's work and contribution to the RN community.

Hello all,

I have a question in regards to my auto backup integration. I have it added as a module and set access to it from the Modules visible but unselected (in SP admin panel) and it works really well. Would this suffice or do I need to add it to the admin? I guess the Development Team would have to check it out, just guessing. It has lots of features and I enjoy working with it. Features ... that's another post for later.

Smile Thanks all, awesome folks here!

Do you need to have a public side? If not I would just add it to the admin.
