Some feedback...

Maybe I'm old fashioned about installing the sql, I like to do it through phpMyAdmin.

But since this is a test ... Using cpanel I created a new database and gave an existing user all permissions to the new db. I configured config.php in the normal way and uploaded it.
Then I pointed my broswer to http://mysite.com/install. Filled out the form after reading the MUST READ twice. (It needs to be clearer about exactly what index.php needs editing, if it does, I'm not sure.)
And I'm still not a happy camper. The error looks something like this:

localhost
username_user
password
===========

Connected successfully to your MySQL Server!

Unable to connect to MySQL database mysql with these credentials: Access denied for user: 'username_user@localhost' to database 'mysql'

odd that it doesn't mention the name of the database. Or maybe that's a clue.

I didn't get very far with the sql file either. It stalled :

SQL-query :

INSERT INTO `$prefix_blocks`
VALUES ( 19, '', 'RWH WaitingContent', '', '', 'l', 7, 1, 3600, '', '', 'block-RWH_WaitingContent.php', 2 )

MySQL said:

#1136 - Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

Anyways, congratulations again Raven! I'm sure this distro is going to be funominal! Wink

I take it you mean you tried to do it via phpmyadmin..

Well you cant quite do that bc the .sql file was designed for Ravens Sql Loader.
But read Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!.

Connecting to MySQL is separate and distinct from a database selection. Obviously, if you can't connect to MySQL, you can't select any databases. The waiting content was a last minute addon so I probably missed something. Thanks!
