All new user names are blocked

I have an issue with user registration any name that you use give the same error "Whomever has already been registered, is blocked, or contains invalid characters". I can't figure out why this started. I have not added any modules or changed anything. I did have an issue with spammers getting on my forums so I changed the registration to admin approved in the User config. Since then I have got this issue and so I changed it back and this started. Any help?

Do the usernames have invalid characters in them?

There are two good options to stop spammers from registering on your site.

http://www.code-authors.com/ has CA Honeypot
http://nukeseo.com/ has nukeSPAM™

Both work great....

no it does it on any name

That warning is generated in the jquery.php file in the includes/jquery folder. Are you using an included RavenNuke theme? A link to your site would help. It could be a js issue.
