It worked, Raven. I created the db through cpanel and added the tables through install.php thank you very much |

Raven,
I got the following error with the new /install/index.php:
Quote: | Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/install/index.php on line 66
Note: This user does not have Create Database Permissions for this MySQL server. Either select another user/pass combination or you will need to create the database first and then come back to this utility to create the tables. |
but it did let me replace the database |

This is correct. But, I need to make the message more user-friendly - Thanks! |

The installation went without incident. Tables were created, but when I went to index.php I got this messageQuote: | There seems to be a problem with the MySQL server, sorry for the inconvenience.
We should be back shortly. | Did I do something wrong? |

Verify with phpMyAdmin that the tables are there. Then, make sure that you have added the correct MySQL settings in config.php |

The tables were created, but the info in config was incorrect. Is the installer supposed to write to the config.php, or should I have done that manually? |

You have to that manually. The Installer is for Nuke database/table installation only. Writing the config.php file would be troublesome as you don't need any nuke files at all to use the installer. In other words, this installer is portable |

Then I would give it a 100%. It was fast and did the job. Thank you |
