I tried to search for a good html5 media player but unfortunately I couldn't find anything better than Wimpy Player html5 which I noticed it doesn't need flash at all. I tried to make a module but I am not happy with the result. I wonder if anyone knows a better player for RavenNuke or a better way to make it easy and safe. I found out Wimpy Player is using this amazing script [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] in order to play mp3, flac, m4a, mp4. etc. etc.

The reason I like wimpy is because is able to play .mp3 files from any path foder u create and it will play it.

Code:
<?php

if (!defined('MODULE_FILE')) die('You can\'t access this file directly...');
if (!defined('PHP_EOL')) define('PHP_EOL', strtoupper(substr(PHP_OS,0,3) == 'WIN') ? "\r\n" : "\n");

$module_name = basename(dirname(__FILE__));
$pagetitle = '- ' . $module_name . '';

$index = 0;
if (!defined('INDEX_FILE')) define('INDEX_FILE', true); // Set to FALSE to hide right blocks
if (defined('INDEX_FILE') AND INDEX_FILE === true) {
   // auto set right blocks for pre patch 3.1 compatibility
   $index = 1;
}
$ThemeSel = get_theme(true);
$wimpyplayer = 'themes/' . $ThemeSel . '/style/wimpy.css';
if (file_exists($wimpyplayer)) {
   define('RN_MODULE_CSS', 'wimpy.css');
} else {
   $wimpyplayer = 'modules/' . $module_name . '/style/wimpy.css';

   addJSToBody('modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy_funcion.js', 'file');
   addJSToBody('modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy.flac.js', 'file');
   }

include_once 'header.php';
OpenTable();

echo '<div class="text-center">' , PHP_EOL
   , '<br />' , PHP_EOL
   , '<span class="thick wimpy-1">Compatible with <i>iphone</i>, <i>ipad</i>, or any other browser</span>' , PHP_EOL
   , '<br /><br />' , PHP_EOL
   , '<div class="text-center" data-wimpyPlayer data-media data-skin="modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy.skins/Music.tsv">' , PHP_EOL
   , '<br />' , PHP_EOL
   , '</div></div>' , PHP_EOL;

CloseTable();
OpenTable();

echo '<div class="text-center"><span class="thick">Test</span></div>' , PHP_EOL;
CloseTable();
include_once 'footer.php';

head-Wimpy_PlayerHTML5.php

Code:
<?php

if (stristr(htmlentities($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']), 'head-Wimpy_PlayerHTML5.php')) {
   Header('Location: ../../index.php');
   die();
}

   if (file_exists('modules/Wimpyhtml5/wimpy.js')) {
      addJSToBody('modules/Wimpyhtml5/wimpy.js', 'file');
   }

I wonder if I am missing something because it is not playing from my specific folder.

Example of the files.
[ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

This is just an example but I guess I am missing something because it shows everything from the module folder.

.PS I don't want something very complicated. I'd like to have an easy player which it is able to play from a regular folder with flac, mp3, mp4, m4a extensions.

From a short view on your module-page, you are missing wimpy_funcion.js and wimpy.flac.js, check the docs and the example pages!

Playling a playlist from a folder: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

Def that was missing. I got it now but can u explain to me if it is necessary to call

index.php

Code:
<?php

if (!defined('MODULE_FILE')) die('You can\'t access this file directly...');
if (!defined('PHP_EOL')) define('PHP_EOL', strtoupper(substr(PHP_OS,0,3) == 'WIN') ? "\r\n" : "\n");

$module_name = basename(dirname(__FILE__));
$pagetitle = '- ' . $module_name . '';

$index = 0;
if (!defined('INDEX_FILE')) define('INDEX_FILE', true); // Set to FALSE to hide right blocks
if (defined('INDEX_FILE') AND INDEX_FILE === true) {
   // auto set right blocks for pre patch 3.1 compatibility
   $index = 1;
}
$ThemeSel = get_theme(true);
$wimpyplayer = 'themes/' . $ThemeSel . '/style/wimpy.css';
if (file_exists($wimpyplayer)) {
   define('RN_MODULE_CSS', 'wimpy.css');
} else {
   $wimpyplayer = 'modules/' . $module_name . '/style/wimpy.css';

   addJSToBody('modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy_funcion.js', 'file');
   addJSToBody('modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy.flac.js', 'file');
   }

include_once 'header.php';
OpenTable();

echo '<div class="text-center">' , PHP_EOL
   , '<br />' , PHP_EOL
   , '<span class="thick wimpy-1">Compatible with <i>iphone</i>, <i>ipad</i>, or any other browser</span>' , PHP_EOL
   , '<br /><br />' , PHP_EOL
   , '<div class="text-center" data-wimpyPlayer data-media=modules/' . $module_name . '/mp3/wimpy.php data-skin="modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy.skins/Music.tsv">' , PHP_EOL
   , '<br />' , PHP_EOL
   , '</div></div>' , PHP_EOL;

CloseTable();
OpenTable();

echo '<div class="text-center"><span class="thick">Test</span></div>' , PHP_EOL;
CloseTable();
include_once 'footer.php';

includes/addons/head-Wimpy_PlayerHTML5.php

Code:
<?php

if (stristr(htmlentities($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']), 'head-Wimpy_PlayerHTML5.php')) {
   Header('Location: ../../index.php');
   die();
}

   if (file_exists('modules/Wimpyhtml5/wimpy.js')) {
      addJSToBody('modules/Wimpyhtml5/wimpy.js', 'file');
   }

I am calling wimpy.js but tell me if that is the most efficient way.

Code:
addJSToBody('modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy.flac.js', 'file');
Without these line it will play FLAC as well.

I just tested with my iphone 6 and it works fine but I wonder if it will be compatible with all phones? I wanted to add a mobile detection function.

Code:

Do we need this function with HTML5?

The head-Wimpy_PlayerHTML5.php is not needed, you can put this js-call also in module itself. Addon files making only sense, if you want use the same javascript for more than one module and you don't want add the js-call to each module instead.

With this if-statement the both javascripts will be not loaded, if the wimpy.css doesn't exist, make it sense? And if yes, why?

php Code:
$wimpyplayer = 'themes/' . $ThemeSel . '/style/wimpy.css';

if (file_exists($wimpyplayer)) {
define('RN_MODULE_CSS', 'wimpy.css');
} else {
$wimpyplayer = 'modules/' . $module_name . '/style/wimpy.css';

addJSToBody('modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy_funcion.js', 'file');
addJSToBody('modules/' . $module_name . '/wimpy.flac.js', 'file');
}

I don't know this class but it has nothing to do with html5, its dectects only devices based on the user-agent.

Better remove that music due to copyright infringement or pay the correct organisation in your country.

djmaze is right! When you purchased music, then you haven't the right to provide it in public - you need a license!

It's not yours. The artist has granted you to listen to his music by paying for it.
