Not really sure if this is the right place for this post but i will ask anyway is there any way in phpnuke to hide the url that appear in the url box at the top of the browser when a person clicks on a link so it does not show any information to where the are going or the string that is placed there, also what about at the bottom of the browser when you mouse over a link it also shows what the details of the link are how do you stop that.

the reason ask is because i have been to sites that dont display either of these too you and i am assumiing they do that for security i may be wrong but i think that it makes the browsing experience a bit better.

Very Happy

ps this question is for raven are we allowed to use our signature.php files on your board i could not find anythig that says yes or no thanks

Rewriting the URL is most easily accomplished through use of an Apache module called mod_rewrite. If you are familiar with Google Tap (GT) (it's used here) then you know how the page urls are rewritten. Security through obscurity is one reason. Another is that it's easier for Google and other search engines to index your site.

To hide/modify the browser status display (lower left corner) is accomplished using javascript. Look up window.status and that should take you where you need to go.

Not sure exactly what signature.php files are, but I am pretty lenient with signatures. Show me what you mean and I'll let you know Wink
