So tired of hackers

I am so tired of hackers and keeping vigilant against them. I'm running 7.2 and Sentinal 1.2.0. then without warning from my webhost I get suspended .. THEN notified!

I'm moving to another webhost because my current one are idiots when it comes to Customer Service ... but here is what they told me in 1 of many, many emails ...

These scripts were used to make abusive connections to other machines which led to complaints made against our server.

Are you running phpNuke or phpBB?

And, this was AFTER they suspended me. I guess these were gifts left by hackers ...

Then they told me I couldnt run phpnuke anymore .. i asked what about all their other sites??? well, then it was only sites experiencing this type of attack ... geez

I have found a new webhost and am going to leave my current one even tho I'm paid up thru April '05.

THEY are supposed to be the experts not me. Then they asked me to delete the scripts .. the ones i didnt know were there in the first place!

Sheesh......sorry to hear that Panthera.....and yeah, as Raven is suggesting, I think I will most definitely be upgrading to 2.0.1 today! (just hadn't had the time lately....but will MAKE time for sure!)

I too left LunarPages, and I think their support, and policies are quite lacking. And I sure do not like the fact that they will not refund any of the cash we've paid them.

I am hosted with the best PHPNuke hosting site there is, in my opinion. The support is great, the owner actually knows what he is doing and actually has a clue what true customer support is. You might have heard of this hosting company, it's becomming more and more popular. Wink

Well I think it falls more under want then need, I'm just an old command line dog and just find it eaiser sometime to get to that blining curser Smile

I'm at work, but I will send off a email to you when I get home about what I am looking for in a host and maybe we can work something out that will please us both.
