Hiya

I've noticed that while I have never actually successfully logged into chat on this site, it shows me as in there and won't let me in. I have even logged off the server and logged back in 20 minutes later only to get the same message.

Someone should take a look at this script. Also, I would suggest that if the user logs out, that it cancel the session, regardless of a user actually used the "Quit" function or not. Like I said, I've never been in, so I can't quit!

Smile

UPDATE! - Built-in Popup protection was causing this problem! Fixed it on my end... Should be some note in there saying to turn-off PopUp protection!

Very true especially now with the latest IE having one (popup blocker) now. Been in there a lot of times when that happens to folks. Name pops up ya sorta figure it out after a few moments and they don't type anything at all lol!

You should be able to bypass the popup stopper by holding down CTRL key while clicking on the chat box.

Now this is a quandry, isn't it? Should all applications/scripts that use pop-ups be modified to remind people that their pop-up blockers may be interferring with their pop-ups? The popup blocker that I use has options that alert me that a popup was blocked and then affords me the courtesy to look at the most recently blocked popup. In the case of this chat script, how would I alert you? With a popup Laughing (just kidding). But seriously, that's how the author wrote it - it's a popup window. How do we intervene inbetween? If you actually clicl the module link you will be taken to a nuke window where a message could be placed. But, most click on the link to take them right in. Also, I allow all popups from my site since I trust this site Wink

To be honest, I had no idea that it was a PopUp Application. I may be way off the mark here, but I don't know of many Nuke add-ins that actually function as PopUps. I'm not knocking it, I just didn't know it worked that way. What was most frustrating was that it was saying that I was in the application when I wasn't.

I think a good way to address it in this particular case is to say (on the screen that it takes you to when you click in the block) that it is a PopUp application and that it won't work if PopUp blocking is enabled.

On the other side of the coin, my PopUp blocker does have audio notification, but because I was forced to visit http://phpnuke.org (Someone put a gun to my head) I turned my audio off because of that darn annoying ad he has on EVERY SINGLE PAGE that says, "Tell me what you want to hear" which in truth is "Francisco, I wish I never had to return to your stupid annoying advertising filled webpages because you don't give support, nevermind letting anyone else do it via your site anyway...."

Proving the point that yes, there is a website that has useful PopUps.... Okay, that's ONE! LOL

This is one of those stand alone scripts that was converted for phpnuke, thus the pop-up existed in the original. At one point he (or someone) had a version where you had an option af staying in nuke or detaching it. I like the detached because it's MUCH less overhead. The problem is if you click directly on the Lounge link, you go directly to the pop-up, not the module. Of course that can be altered, but then you're asking me to do more work Bang Head
