I use that version of Firefox and dont have that problem. I updated to Sentinel 2.0.2 today and it's still fine for me.
Have you installed java into firefox it wont work if it's just installed on your hdd, you need to download it from mozilla firefox page and put it into plugins folder in firefox, same with macromedia flash.
That could be causing it. |

I'm with Muffin on the cause. There is also a .reg file to add the linkage needed for java in FireFox. It's as follows:Code:REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\mozilla.org\Mozilla]
"CurrentVersion"="1.5"
|
Save it as something like java-firefox.reg and then merge it into your registry. |

That was my feeling when I read that. There is no Java nor JavaScript involved. HTTP Authentication is a part of the Protocol and is a function of the browser core, not an addon ( http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2617.html ). But, I don't uses FF except for some testing, so I wasn't 100% sure that it wasn't some idiosyncrasy of FF. |

Might be worth reinstalling the browser totally, seems like an isolated case, I'm sure we would have heard a lot more problems as a lot use FF as far as I know. |

Thanks all,
Yep, it is FF but even after a reinstall (removed every folder and registry entry's off FF) the problem is still there, weird
I know that there is nothing wrong with Sentinel because I have the same with phpMyAdmin, but I am looking for someone that has the same problem.
On the FF forum not enybody has this problem...
So I also can't find a solution to it.
Thanks again for thinking with/for me,
Fred
I have just installed the EN version instead of my local NL and it WORKS fine now?? |

Fred,
Could you somehow have a security option/setting in FF that needs setting/resetting? |

There is an extension for FF called Cookie Culler that you can download, you set that to protect and unprotect cookies.
I use it but still dont have the problem stated here. |

Hi Raven, Bob, Muffin and GanjaUk... Thanks to all for thinking with me
It is a bug in the localised version (dutch) of FF 0.9.3 and have reported it @ Mozilla.
I have reinstalled FF several times (local version that whas) and looked in every extension plugin etc. but it was still there. Now I have simply installed the Original FF and everything works like a charm.
So if you come to something likewise, try to install the Original FF first to see if the problem is gone or not.
Thanks all,
Fred |
