I just noticed I am having the same problem. I am running PHP Nuke 7.5 (just switched to it last night). I never noticed the problem before since I had no need to add an admin. |

That happens to me too........been happening for a while, dunno why, I have been manually having to add via myphpadmin....only thing I can think is possibly a remnant from when I used "Protector"....?!? |

There were a lot of fields NOT used in 7.5 from the Authors table I imported. Deleted them all, now I can create admins. |

Holbrookau gave you a great answer. The problem is almost always the number of fields in the files no longer matches the number of columns in the db table.
If all else fails drop the authors table and recreate it from the nuke.sql file. |
