Hi!
I need a block like this one:
It's a block with a picture for each main content so you can click on a picture and go to for example the section about Photoshop...
You can see it live from here:

Thanks |

Can't you just adapt the sample block or a centre block and add the images with links to the specific areas you want?
That would be the simplest way to do it. |

Make a new block with your Sample block that is in your blocks folder and replace "block-Sample_Block.php" with "block-Pic_Menu.php" or whatever you want to call it.
Then inside the block code itself add the html for your image links as you would in a normal html page.
Save the file as block-Pic_Menu or whatever you put in the code as the name of the block. Check you have no spaces after the last ?> and upload to your blocks folder. Change the file extension from .txt to .php if you used Notepad or similar to make the new block file.
Go into your Nuke admin panel and select blocks, then 'make new block' and select the block from the drop down menu ie; Pic_Block
click on No for activate because you'll want to check it's ok first. If it looks ok then activate it if not it gives you the option to edit it.
In the blocks list you can then select Center Up if you want it under the first block in the centre of your Home page. Or Center Down. It would be too big for a side block unless you made a line break after each image.
This is how I make my new blocks.
Hope this helps.
Oh and don't forget to SWITCH OFF Sentinel's Script blocker or when you try to add the new block it may set Sentinel off. After you've got the new block in place remember to switch on Sentinel Script blocker again. |

Thank you very much Muffin!
I've not only learned how to make a Block and activate it but how Sentinel works (I dont have it yet, I use Admin Secure but I'm going to use Sentinel soon too).
Your are my hero!
One more question: Do you how I can find the Javascript that they use to highlight the picture you point on with mouse? (I think it's js they use)
If not never mind I allready got a great help here. |
