Center Block to welcome new members!

Hi!

In many sites I've seen a center block that says "We welcome "NEW MEMBERS NAME" as a new member to this site" or something like that.

Does anybody know how to get this block?

You can make your own

Use the same code you used for your image links centre block (without the image links code obviously) and just put your text in and save as whatever you want to call it, upload it, select it from the drop down box in make new block and position it center top, then move it up to where you want it.

But what I am looking for is a block or module to automaticly write a welcome message to every new member in the first page.

When you become a member of my site you (and other) should see a message that says: "We welcome Muffin as a new member to our site...". And when the next new member arrives it change your name with him/her.

I've seen it in many sites and I've asked one of them to give me that block today. I hope I can get it and bring it to you here.

Oh I see

Well I think I saw on Nukecops I think it was, a welcome popup message when a new member joins. I think its a flash one too if I remember rightly.

There is a mod that automatically sends a pm to new members welcoming them to the site.

Otherwise, I don't know about the center block, sorry.

I've been in contact with webmaster of a site which have this block. He says that he made the block himself and he wont give it to me Crying or Very sad

But I'm trying to make one by myself (I'm not good on it but I try Bang Head

) and when/if I manage it I'll put it here too.

Please help me if you can how to do it.
