I am running Ravens 7.3 distr of PHP-Nuke. I downloaded PHP-Nuke 7.5 and ran the upgrades. Everything seems ok except for the administration menu. I have the Administration Menu link and right under it, Logout/Exit. No icons for the other modules/blocks. What gives?

You can't upgrade the database without using all the files in 7.5, meaning any and all customizations in your site will be wiped out. I'd restore the database and develop an upgrade plan |

Can a clean install be done without messing up the integrity of my forums? |

All versions have an upgrades folder that will upgrade your present database to the version you are installing. As to the actual php files, if you have made any customizations then you will need to re-customize the new/replacement files. |

But I have a problem with my admin menu now. Even standard module links aren't working. My site was down yesterday, and is still sporadically screwing up. Not sure if it could have been hacked or what. How can I fix the admin menu to work again? |

7.5 uses a whole new admin architecture from prior releases. |

So what's it gonna take to fix my Nuke? The only thing that I really need to save are my forums and registered users. I have nearly 25,000 posts, and would be lynched if I lost them. Can a clean install be done while saving these? |

about 2/3 of my users can't access the site either. It crapped out yesterday, and I'm not sure why. I decided to upgrade afterwards, and the admin problem became a problem. I'm not sure if the downtime is nuke related or not. My hosting company said everything is OK on their end. I was running Sentinel, so I don't think I was hacked. I would reinstall if I can keep my members and forums intact.
Thanks in advance for your efforts, you guys are great! |

I still get the page not found errors when trying some functions such as edit admins. Does this look like a corrupt DB possibly? Almost all of the buttons get nowhere. I've cleared my cache, but the same result. |

Noticed that, only the new admin section links work and i even replaced the files with core and later patched ones and no luck, i don't think it's database related but can't find what it might be, i changed perms, checked .htaccess files but those checked ok. |

I uninstalled Sentinel 2.0.2, and it looks like that may have been the culprit. Not sure why though. I'll try a fresh install of Sentinel and see if it works. Is it compatible with 7.5? All of the admin functions are fine after it was removed. |

Must have missed an edit somewhere. I'll reinstall it. It had blocked all users except the admin IP's...oops! |
