Backend.php ?

Can someone please explain how i can use the backend.php to my advantage and what it actually offers to assist the site. I know next to nothing on this topic and would love all the information i can find.

Backend.php creates/updates a file a file (ultramode.txt must be chmod to 666). Then, when someone wants to see your headlines, they point to your_domain.com/backend.php . The text file is then translated into an rss feed so that it can be displayed on your website.

Like your site news. You always have news from other sites. Is that what you did or do you actually add the news by hand every day ?

You go to your Blocks Admin. Go down to Add A New Block and find this line
RSS/RDF file URL:

If you wanted to pull my news you would type in http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/backend.php

Then add the block and set the permissions like any other block. You also have a setting as to how long inbetween updates you want to refresh it.

Excellent. Did that, but it gives the headline but not the story. I am learning, PHP is fascinating, there is no limits it seems. Great site here Raven, I have contributed and will continue to do so. This site is a great resource

That is correct. It creates hyper-links to the story.
