My_eGallery 2.7.9 just CRASHED!

Ok it was working 3 months and now after i installed SPchat,
it doesn't show any pictures just well known red X .I check the adressess of the pics, and they're there!
But when i copy url and try to open in a new window i get it

Could anyone help me? I didn't find any bugs simillar to this!

P.S.When i click on The Module My_eGallery
The pics in The General Categories are Shown! But after that...nothin:(

Sounds like your host may have made changes to the server or there is an htaccess directive interfering with the images.

I would strongly suggest that you stop using that particular gallery. It is very insecure and several hosts including me have banned out clients from using it. It can allow someone to enter your cpanel and insert files which can at times be used to turn your site into an eggdropper.

sixonetonoffun, i'm a newbie and just didn't understand what you mean, could you explain me? All of the other modules,blocks and pix on the site are workin`...

I was simply pointing out that it is VERY insecure as Raven would tell you as well. I assumed that you didnt know that it was insecure. The menalto gallery is very nice you should check into it at gallery.menalto.com

Yep have to agree with jaded on that one.

If that is the only thing in your htaccess file then there is no conflict there. I'd consider checking with your host and explain to them the problem they may have even restricted access due to the exploits jaded had mentioned.

Well,I tried gallery.menalto.com it's too complicated for install and work!
Is there anybody who can help me with My_eGallery it's so strange...i reinstall it many times,and it just didn't work!
It shows categories,shows alt text on pictures,comments,pic size...everything only doesn't show any pictures :*(

ok,i installed Menalto's Gallery...but there are so many things i didnt understand!
1.How can i put image only for Gallery's image symbol,but not to be included in this Gallery!
2.I installed it and after i return to configuration index it doesn't accept my username and password and even this never asked me for user...only for password?
3.I'm drivin` it in Bulgarian language but the title is still Gallery and bellow there is still written

The user for direct access is automatically admin the password is what ever you made it during install.

The cyrillic being translated to odd chars. Check the gallery forums there is most likely a fix available but I haven't checked.

Back on the subject of MeG I would guess your server was upgraded to Apache2 MeG doesn't work on Apache2 to the best of my knowledge.

I would imagine the slowness your experiencing is related to the thumbnail and resize images quality. Check the actual size of the image files the quality can be adjusted to better suit you.
