no module shows up in phpnuke 7.6

followed install instructions and i do not see the module listed in the modules admin page. I am using phpnuke 7.6 any ideas?

well after some more troubleshooting it looks like my nuke_modules table is not being updated. not sure what can be causing this problem but it is not just this module it looks like the last couple of modules that I've installed are having the same problem. I manually added an entry into my modules table and it seems to be ok, but I would like to know why this table is not updating any more. I'm pretty sure its not kissq related any more but any help would be appreciated.

I have also come across another problem. When I add symbols to my portfolio nothing shows up in the portfolio summary area. I checked the kissq_portfolio table and it is updating records but they still dont show in my summary area. When the page creates the summary area where does the info get created, in other words does the webserver itself go out to find the values then serves the page with the summary to me or does the client. Im running phpnuke in a companies intranet. the IIS server that is hosting the site has no acces to the Internet. could this be the cuase of the problem?

Since KISSQ gets its stock information from Yahoo, if you aren't connected to the Internet it won't work.

Check the number of columns in your module's table (using phpMyAdmin) and then check the installation sql file that came with your version of nuke to see if the column count is the same.
