Hi

One problem that I am having is with that the link property values ($sid, etc...) are not working in the /modules/Your_Account/includes/ui-l10news.php file.

It seems what is going on is that this one file will not echo those values to the link properties.

Thus for example in my your_account screen, I see the titles of my Last 10 News Submissions and my Last 10 Comments; however, none of the link properties are right.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks
Steph

I don't use GT on my live site. But it may be the link has to be formatted to play nice with GT.

Or it could be that the files you have don't have the fix applied to them http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/postt3629.html
the one under 12/10.

Well, as for GT, I have it fully tapped and that's not the problem. To make sure of that, some time ago I turned GT off and I got the same results. Again, keep in mind, that I have successfully tapped all of the other "Latest...." functions in that section. It's only that one include that's messing up.

I did perform the updates, but I've got to keep in mind this is the PNP hacked version. I was thinking today that I would make a backup and dump their version in favor of your official release, but I also noticed today that the version available for download has test cookies and other issues in it as well (doesn't look patched?).

Is there a place where I can get the latest patched version of the latest release and work from there?

Finally, one thing that I just can't get working yet is the ability to add new required fields and having them show up at registration and in the YA mod itself. I'm still tinkering, but d***, there is a lot to this puppy. So many files to have open at once and so little time... Smile

I've done my best to eliminate all forum profile functions (and damnit, had to shut down avatars because of the crazy linking to profile function), but I need those required fields to work right, so I'm going back to the boards on that.

The last thing that annoyed me about this mod is having the admin functions not under admin, but in the admin directory of the mod itself. This was a two-fold problem for me. First I ended up having to GT admin functions to avoid problems relative to my mainfile (long story short, before GT'ing it, I was getting invalid arguements in mainfile caused by my USERINFO block).

The second issue is that if it resided in the YA/admin/ directory, it's a pain to keep bots and users out of it completely. I'm not really wild about any modules moving admin functions to an admin sub-directory of the module itself, but oh well, there ya go... what can you do short of adding 100 directories and files to the robots.txt file?

I know you guys have been busy.. I'm hoping I can get a copy of the latest and greatest solution to test that is patched and addresses these and some of my other comments about eliminating forum profile entirely in favor of using CNB YA for everything. I got my first look at Approve Membership mod yesterday, and I really like the features that if offers. I'm hoping to see all of that stuff in CNB YA at some point.

Now if I can only figure out how to get all of my Subscription stuff to work in YA, I'll be a happy camper. (It doesn't offer the subscription page to non-subscribers, nor does it present any data to existing subscribers about their group/subscription info).

Anyway, I'm off to hack and play with it more! I've been pretty busy helping customers and in my spare time other nukers. I've tapped most everything on my site (talk about repetitive typing time consumption)... My .htaccess file is longer than my resume. I even managed to add a game to my site's arcade and tap all that as well. At least people can now help George W and Tony find "Weapons of Mass Destruction" via google. lol

Thanks for the help!
Steph
