Hi all,

as i see there is no ip2c version for the new version 2.2.0 of sentinel.
So if i may,i would like to ask some questions.

1.
What is/was the use of ip2c?
What i read from the download area and the description of ip2c is:
Quote:
IP to Country plugin for NukeSentinel™. Allows the admin to Add, Edit, and Delete IP to Country ranges.
So i quess it passes the countries data and ip ranges into the sentinel.Ok till now.
But what is the use of that?To block ranges of ip's from specific countries? Have i understood right? Does something more?

2.
In the latest version of sentinel 2.2.0 ,from what i read Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! the tables are ready during the sentinel installation but they r left empty due to problems with some servers.
So i quess we will have to add them manually one by one from the:
import data button then Import to IP2Country buton then select one from the Select Country drop-down menu ?
If this is so,and since i had installed the last ip2c version without problems in my server may i use it again, instead of installing one by one? (Btw,i have made a clean install of phpnuke and the new version of nukesentinel)

3.
Anyway, i tried to install manually one country the way i describe in my number 2 question and i got this message:
Quote:
62.1.0.0 - 62.1.255.255 overlaps another range in nuke_nsnst_ip2country
62.38.0.0 - 62.38.255.255 overlaps another range in nuke_nsnst_ip2country
62.68.64.0 - 62.68.82.63 overlaps another range in nuke_nsnst_ip2country
62.68.82.128 - 62.68.95.255 overlaps another range in nuke_nsnst_ip2country
e.t.c.
e.t.c.
62.68.128.0 - 62.68.159.255 overlaps another range in nuke_nsnst_ip2country
62.74.0.0 - 62.75.127.255 overlaps another range in nuke_nsnst_ip2country
(The e.t.c. are not in the page but are used by me here,in order not to copy the hole page which the lines are similar anyway.)

Why is that?Is it ok?

Thank you for reading this..

NukeSentinel(tm) 2.2.0 has an import section so that you can import the IP2C data into the table. IP2C is used to tell you were blocked ip's and tracked ip's come from.

With the new import functions you can import entire countries into the "Blocked Ranges" table which will ban that countries known ip ranges from visiting your site.

Code:

You get this because there is already data in the table and the ranges you've tried to add overlap another range. If you didn't clear out the table or you tried to add the same contry twice you will get this.
