I put all the files in the right area according to the instruction. However, i am getting a error. The error can be seen on my site www.porcupinepc.com/forums Messenger is on the bottom right.

Id appreciate any help

What is the file that it can't locate on line 32? That's what's missing.

The file, i believe is:

functions.php

Dont see it any where in the directory

That is in the includes directory so it seems as if that file that is calling functions.php either needs to be prefaced with includes/funtions.php or the file that is calling it needs to be in the includes directory.

well i copied a copy of function from the includes directory /httpdocs/forums/modules/Private_Messages and that error seems to have cleared up. There were 2 others to do with sql:

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/porcupinepc.com/httpdocs/forums/BlockMessenger.php on line 196

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/porcupinepc.com/httpdocs/forums/BlockMessenger.php on line 198

Did you install the db tables for this block? Did you deactivate the block? Did you ever get it working? I can't find errors... btw, your site is looking way better.

I viewedBlockMessenger.php and looked for line 196. Its the 6th line below. There is a mysql error that appears in messenger on my site.

Joe

echo "<body onload=setInterval('self.location.reload()',$refreshtime) bgcolor=$bgcolor1 text=$textcolor1 link=$textcolor1 alink=\"$textcolor1\" vlink=$textcolor1 topmargin=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\">";
echo "<font size=\"1\" face=\"Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">"._ENLIGNE.":</font><br>";
$sql = mysql_query("SELECT username FROM $prefix"._session." where guest=0");
$member_online_num = mysql_num_rows($sql);
$i = 1;
while ($session = mysql_fetch_array($sql)) {

Also, when you click on "members" in the Messenger screen, you get the following errors:

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/porcupinepc.com/httpdocs/forums/BlockMessenger.php on line 283

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/porcupinepc.com/httpdocs/forums/BlockMessenger.php on line 285

Hi Raven:

I managed to find a updated version of this thats installed on my sustem now. (Messenger)

Theres only one error on this version that pops up when you click on your name:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/porcupinepc.com/httpdocs/forums/includes/sql_layer.php on line 342

I believe this is line 342: $row = mysql_fetch_array($res);

You need to turn sql_debug on to see the offending sql. That line just references the logic, not the sql.

OK i found the sql_debug and it's now set to 1

When i go to my mainpage, the following appreared at the very top of the screen:

SQL query: select topicid, topictext from nuke_topics order by topictext

Also, where the Messenger block was, the following shows:

SQL query: CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS nuke_lastseen (id INT (15) not null AUTO_INCREMENT, username TEXT not null, date INT(15) not null, ip CHAR(50), PRIMARY KEY (id), UNIQUE (id))
SQL query: SELECT * FROM nuke_lastseen WHERE username = "joerobertson"
SQL query: UPDATE nuke_lastseen SET date = 1069609702 WHERE username = "joerobertson"
SQL query: SELECT username, date FROM nuke_lastseen ORDER BY date DESC limit 11
SQL query: select user_id from nuke_users where (username='Othic')

Which warning text? I see 3 areas which seem to have bugs.
