I am running Nuke 7.6 on my site. I installed sentinel for 76.6 and it stop admins for getting into to the forum admin section, nothing else the site other than that worked fine. How ever that is a major problem really. The site is not patched to .29 so I patched it and it totally killed the, it just displaed the "there seems to be a problem with mySQL we will be back soon" message. I have know fixed it by restoring the site back to ho it was without sentinel and all is well.

The thing is a really like have sentinel on my site I just don't get why I can not patch or use it. Is there a reason for this or is it just cos I'm dumb and have something daft?

Any help would be great. and thanks in advance.

I would say without much hesitation that you have errors in your patchwork. Start over and very carefully follow the readme and the posts on this site concerning the modifications. It will, and does, work Smile I would also add that you really should upgrade to Chat's 2.9 service pack Wink

When I upgrade to Chat's patch, (i had previosuly used 7.5 patch and sentinel) it killed and would not load anything.

I used the files and changes decribed at the depository to modify the files as I always do to make sure they are correct.

I'll give it another go and see what happens.

Some hosts/setups do not recognize $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] - If you are still having problems, try changing all occurrences of $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] to $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']. It will not affect security at all.
