Today as I was playing-- i got myself banned from my site.
This has happened before and I was able to correct it, cept this time
I cant find where i am banned from.
nuke_nsnst_blocked_ips shows no blocked IPs
as I already dropped and re-added all Sent tables in attempt to
correct this error.
My .htaccess file in my root directory does NOT have my IP listed in any
Deny.
I dropped all Sent tables and still was not able to access site, so the IP ban must be somewhere in a file--yet i cannot find it.....
btw, it is a complete site ban. |

do you have any other security scrits running?
And playing?
You should only do that logged in as admin..
As for not finding anything...
your IP can only be stored in the database and the htaccess file.
if your IP isnt in both...
Have you tried cleaning your cookies,.internet history....the whole stuff? |

When accessing site i get the Sent banned page.
I was logged in as God Admin when I was banned.
Internet Explorer/Firefox has both been cleaned many times over by now.
No Ip Ban in either htaccess or sql, which is why i came here since this
has never happened to me before |

As I have already said. MY ip is not listed in the SQL database for a ban.
my htaccess file has NO IP'S being banned.
Yes i DO understand that there MUST be a file that has the ban listed in order for me not being able to access my site.
My Problem is i cannot find this file, since the two Normal places that Banned IP addresses go,
(htaccess and in the sql table nuke_nsnst_blocked_ips)
do not hold my IP in them.
I thought I explained this clearly in my first and second post.
Maybe the third post of saying the same thing might help? |

well your missing the point..
i mean there must be another script running.
cause banned ip's are not stored in files...(only htaccess file by sentinel)
so there must another script running...maybe IP ban ,...who knows?
Have you checked that? |

blacksnday, were you logged in, as admin, with an admin username that shows "Is Protected" in the admin panel of NukeSentinel(TM)? |

I dont want to confuse the issue here but I have had this happen to me (Sentinel V2.1.1 nuke 7.5 ) - site ban by Sentinel when logged in as God admin.
It has only happened to me when I access a specific third party module admin area from the main nuke admin area.
I thought it was perhaps something in the url string but. this is not the case.
It has happened a few times when I am at work, with our local firewall blocking cookies, so possibly a cookie issue??
It also managed to ban me at home a couple of times but this was after I started accessing the admin area from my work PC.
The bannings took places even though both my home IP and work IP were in the 'protected IP' range.
Not sure if this information helps but some info is preferable to none I guess.
I have now upgraded to the latest version so I'll see how it goes and will advise further if I manage to ban myself again - btw, I did not have the htaccess write facility turned on. |

With all the different posts I didn't see or couldn't tell if you had said if your site is in a sub-directory or in the web root directory. |

Yes, I have installed in root.
And yes I was logged in as GodAdmin.
Now for the ban showing in Sent-- Im am curious as to why it didnt show
in sql or other files?
However, another ban that Sent grabbed--- did correctly write to htaccess.
So where did my IP go when i got banned? |

What was the exact admin id that you were using when you were blocked by NukeSentinel(tm), (ip was written to the table)? i.e. i'mabigredneck |
