I wish to view my user's ip.....

Hi I would like to view the ip of users on my site. Any idea on how to do this. This is to prevent people from creating 2 accounts. Thank you.

Where and when? If you're using my site info (UserInfo) block you just mouseover the user number and the IP is revealed. Keep in mind that all the person has to do is refresh his IP if he's on dhcp and he'll have a new IP. Or he could sign up via proxy.

im using codewiz's userinfo. Anyway you can help me implement taht function in there as I don't want to reinstall things taht are already working. btw nice to talk to u lol its been a while

in 1 word: "Useless"

- i just create an account thru several ip's
- you lock out any potential member since i've used 1000's of ip's to create fake accounts

If you wanna make it realy hard for people to register on your site, then i won't stop you.

I still would like to have that function. When the user logins in I have a function that lets him see his ip. I would like to be able to see that person's ip as well. Please help as I think this will help me monitor my site better

I am not sure if you are aware or not, but Sentinel's IP tracking can help you do that. It just requires you to enable IP tracking.

Then you can view the info and it will tell you the IP's of your users.
