I've just finished updating my site, I was quite happy and relieved. I tried to post a new story, and it hasn't worked! I get all the way through previewing and setting it up, then it hasn't posted.. Help me, I don't know what to do..

The data is not being fed into the MySQL database. I managed to figure that much out. Interestingly I've done a clean install of another PHPNUKE site and it's having the same problem. This is version 7.7 I'm talking about btw..

I've also managed to find two other people who have posted similar concerns on the web. Neither have gotten a reply..

I really don't want to lose all my stuff.. There has to be a simple fix.. Any help will be appreciated.

I am a twit.

As it turns out, whilst I had installed chatservs patched files, I hadn't run the "upgrade" script. After doing that, everything is functioning. Touch wood.

Some of the readmes included with these files aren't idiot proof. I know, because I'm an idiot, and I keep stuffing stuff up.. Smile

I'd like to know how important it is that I do the MySQL update as well? Is it likely to stuff everthing up?

Let me know..

Yes!

All I can tell you is, your sql db is ALL IMPORTANT to PHP-Nuke. If MySQL isn't config'ed/working right, you don't have a web site. It's as simple as that... Wink
