well i came to the fact now with fb's last 2 nuke releases things have got so bad now so many great nuke sites have gone to other cms as well..
what the future of phpnuke, who do we have left for support , nukecops seems to be gone even google having trouble picking it up and there page craws are going from the search engine, well the only sites we have left for support is telli and raven, the new admin at portedmods has no intrest in phpnuke and he just used the site for banners, what the points and evertime i go online all i see is bots,
has phpnuke come to an end....
whats the future of phpnuke?
so many guys have put so much work into nuke chatserv, raven, 64bit guy and all the overs that help with nuke fixing for fb's crap releases.
just when 7.6 was very stable then he releases the worst 2 phpnuke yet.
anyone please tell us what you think the future holds for nuke and its support
thanks

It's not dead it's just sleeping. *LOL* (think Monty Python dead parrot skit)
I doubt seriously that it can be considered dead. People will continue to use it regardless of the circumstances with FB go. Some of the support sites have indeed fallen off but that leaves the few great ones still here and if anything those that have left the sites that are now gone end up finding this one for example and they typically bring their experience with them.
Although the landscape may shift and change I feel that the vision remains intact. At least that is my opinion.
With all of that said, let me also suggest that those that use sites like this one, be sure to SUPPORT the owners and staff. With some of the other key support sites closing, ones like this one definately feel the pressure from the community by increased bandwidth and help requests. Believe me it hits them in the pocket book. Help them help you by giving something back by at least making a small donation to show that you actually appreciate them. Don't be a dead beat by always asking for a hand out (help request) and never giving something back. These guys and gals work long hard hours in an attempt to help you when you ask and more times than not there is no reward for them. It frequently becomes a thankless job and eventually just an irritation that sometimes results in a site closing shop permanently. I mean after all, would you spend hours on end helping people for nothing and very few thanks?

As long as there are free support sites for PHP-Nuke like this one, I don't think this project will die out.
Now there is an idea for chatserv... $10/month for the patches. |

I saw the big number of user at warp-speed.de (60.000+) and this means phpnuke is still very popular especially for young people. |
